| Cant merge fields into header with a directory merge in documen I have set up a merged document using a directory in the main body of the document in a table format. The other details i.e name and address and officer details have been merged into the header and footer so they only come over once and the results from 8 or more records merge into the directory. The directory part works and merges in the correct format but the merge fields in the Header and Footers do not come over at all. The data is pulled via a report using the premises address as the common factor. |

| RE: Cant merge fields into header with a directory merge in documen Angie, Have you solved this issue yet? I have what I believe to be a similar issue where there are merge fields in a footer. If you print the document locally the merged data in the body and the footer prints as expected. But if you convert the document to PDF or try to print it remotely the data reverts back to the field name. If you save the merged document and then view it in Word the data in the footer is present, but when you do a print preview from a remote the data is missing in the footer and when you close the print preview the data is missing in the saved document until you close and reopen the document. -- Bob "Angie" wrote: > I have set up a merged document using a directory in the main body of the > document in a table format.
