MS Office Picture Manager

Windows XP Pro used to be my default picture manager. Now Microsoft Office
Picture Manager is the default. How do I turn off or disable MS Office
Picture Manager so that XP Pro is once again the default picture manager?

Re: MS Office Picture Manager

Right-click any image, properties, opens with...change, select Windows Picture
and Fax Viewer. You only have to do this once with each picture format.

Re: MS Office Picture Manager

When I right click on the image, and click on Properties, it then opens a
blue drop-down menu on the right hand side entitled Properties. However,
there is nothing on that menu which says "Opens with". And, nothing in File,
Properties, that appears to get me to Opens with.

I'm pretty computer literate (since 1987), but this has me stumped.

Re: MS Office Picture Manager

Okay, in the control panel, Folder Options folder, file types tab, scroll down
to a picture format, for example, .jpg, change the association.

R-click on the file in Windows Explorer.

Re: MS Office Picture Manager

When I open na image, either through "Documents" on the Start Menu or through
Windows Explorer, I get the image (all .jpgs) in Microsoft Office Picture
Manager. Then, when I right click on the image, and go down to Properties, I
get a blue menu on the right side of the image. The menu has sub headings
such as Picture Properties and Camera Proeprties, but no where on this menu
is there any place that says "Open with..." or anything close to that.

Again, I am stumped as to how to change the default away from Microsoft
Office Picture Manager and back to XP Pro. Further input appreciated.

Re: MS Office Picture Manager

No, you don't OPEN the file, you right click on it in Windows Explorer,
and select Open With, and then change it to Picture and Fax viewer.
