clock on word 2007 icons

I have a little black clock that appears on the lower right hand side of the
icon for some ms word 2007 files. Can someone tell me what this means and how
I can fix it?

Re: clock on word 2007 icons

I've never seen a clock in an icon for Word files. What is the file
extension? Are you sure it's not an exclamation point?

Re: clock on word 2007 icons

http://blogs.msdn.com/oldnewthing/ar.../27/54710.aspx

Windows XP ships with a number of icon overlays.

A small arrow. Everybody knows this one: It's the shortcut overlay.
A hand, palm up. This is the "sharing" overlay. A folder with this overlay
is the root of a file share.
A downward-pointing blue arrow. This is the "to be written to CD" overlay.
A pair of blue swirling arrows. This sometimes baffles people. This means
that the item is available offline. (You have to enable offline folders to
get this.)
A black clock. This really baffles people. This means that the file has been
archived to tape and will take a very long time to access.

Re: clock on word 2007 icons

My personal philosophy is that if I learn something new, I get to go home
early and get paid for a full day. Unfortunately I have yet to have a
manager who agreed with me. ;-)

Re: clock on word 2007 icons

Can anyone tell me what the shield and key indicate on a Word 2007 file icon? I don't believe I've seen this before. Office 2007 SP2 on Vista 32 SP2.

I am thinking this icon started after SP2???? Just curious what it represents. I am guessing something to do with security (duhhhh)

Thanks.

Charlie
