I can't open a large excel 2003 file with excel 2007.

I run AVG and windows defender on XP. I installed office 2007 a while
ago and had very few problems, until now...

I have tried to open an excel 2000 (may be 2003) file wih loads of
formatting with excel 2007 beta.

Unfortunately, it just barfs without an error message (excel needs to
restart...). (I have tried reinstalling office 2007 and run office
diagnostics)

Any ideas??

Remove the beta and install the trial version from
http://trymicrosoftoffice.com. You are prob. running into a beta bug.
