Total frustration with Trial Version

I am a current Office 2003 user and have downloaded the 2007 trial version of
Office Pro 2007 specifically wanting to trial Outlook with Business Contact
Manager per this Microsoft web site:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/su...id=CL101732621

The other applications installed fine except Outlook with Business Contact
Manager. I then raised a case ((KMM73924I23L0KM)) and after 5 attempts from
Microsoft support have given up. They simply keep referring me back to self
help websites which don't have any answers.

I suspect the problem is that an earlier version of Outlook with Business
Contact Manager must already be installed but the 5 people I have tried to
get support from Microsoft from have been unable to answer the question.

Does anyone have an answer?

Many thanks,

Re: Total frustration with Trial Version

Hi Charlie,

Any prior version of MS Office Outlook would need to be uninstalled to use the Office 2007 Outlook version. The trial editions do
not remove the older version by default.

After backing up your files, in Add/Remove Programs in the Windows Control Panel open the MS Office 2003 choice and set MS Office
Outlook to 'Not available' state. Also in Add/Remove Programs, if you have MS Office Outlook Business Contact Manager Add-in,
uninstall it.

Restart the PC, go back to Add/Remove Programs in the Windows Control panel and change the Office 2007 options to have MS Office
Outlook 2007 to 'run from my computer'.

The Office 2007 Outlook Business Contact Manager is, as was the case in Office 2003, an Add-in, installed separately. The setup for
that feature is usually in a 2nd CD image download for the trial edition you're using.
