Problem importing Quickbooks data into Accounting 2007

Hi,

I am trying to import data from Quickbooks (I have 2006 Premier edition
installed) into Office Accounting 2007 Professional. An import of Master
Records works fine, but importing all data does not work. The first time,
after the point where OA starts Quickbooks, which prompts me for permission
for OA to access the data (which I grant), Windows Installer pops up and goes
into an endless loop configuring the Transaction Migration Update. If I try
the same process again with the same Quickbooks file, then instead of all of
this I simply get an error from OA stating "Type Mismatch". My guess is that
the Transaction Migration Update is not installed/configured correctly? I am
running the correct one for OA 2007, and I am running as an administrator (XP
SP2), so I don't see why this should be happening. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
I. Kinal

Hello I. Kinal,

As Bob suggested, there is a dedicated newsgroup for Small Business
Accounting issues: microsoft.public.sba.general. You can submit your
questions to that newsgroup where you can leverage the peer assistance.

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion, but I already tried that, and did not get my
problem solved. I wanted to give this Technet managed newsgroup a shot.

Re: Problem importing Quickbooks data into Accounting 2007

Hi I.,

The 'Technet Managed' and 'MSDN managed' newsgroups are the same as the 'public' newsgroups on news://msnews.microsoft.com. They
are mirrored in the other areas and 'flagged' if they have a subscription registration.

Re: Problem importing Quickbooks data into Accounting 2007

Hello I. Kinal,

Yes, you are right that this newsgroup is a TechNet managed newsgroup.
However, your issue is an SBA issue which is not supported in this managed
newsgroup.

Please note that as a part of his TechNet Plus subscription you do have
access to a set of managed newsgroups. At this time, there is not a
newsgroup for SBA. You can request one to be added by going through the
TechNet team at:
https://support.microsoft.com/common...23&showpage=1&
ws=technet&sd=tech&pa=managednewsgroups

We have also responded to you through the ContactUs web page team and
provided this information that the SBA product is currently not supported
through a TechNet nor MSDN managed newsgroup. If you would like one to be
added, please request it through the link provided above.

At this time you are welcome to post to the public newsgroup for SBA that
has already been suggested here or give support a call to open an incident
for more immediate resolution.

Thank you for your understanding.

Ada Pan
