Cannot convert to full version from trial. Install source not av

Trial version expired. Purchased full version, but CD does not start up with
Installation Setup. Trying to upgrade within trial version goes no further
than clicking on the "convert" button. Never get the option to enter new
product code or activate.

Remove the trial edition first using Add/Remove from Control Panel. Reboot and then install the full CD version.

Re: Cannot convert to full version from trial. Install source not

I tried to remove the trial version, but since it was pre-installed on my
laptop when I purchase it, I get the msg: "The installation source for this
product is not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can
access it" and it won't let me delete the program. I checked and it is not
on my Recovery & Application disk. How can I get around this to delete it?

Re: Cannot convert to full version from trial. Install source not

I even downloaded the Office 2003 Resource kit and tried used the Removal
Wizard and the trial version did not appear on the list to be able to
uninstall. Also, when I open any Office program, I get the msg that the
trial has expired and I press the convert button but it won't go to the
screen for me to input the product key.

Re: Cannot convert to full version from trial. Install source not

I would contact the manufacturer from whom you purchased the computer and request a full recovery disk with all of the preinstalled operating system and programs. They are obligated under their OEM contract with Microsoft to provide this to their customers. Elevate it if you get no satisfaction.

Re: Cannot convert to full version from trial. Install source not

Just FYI in case anyone else runs into this problem. After spending a couple
of hours on the phone between Microsoft & Toshiba, the problem was resolved
by downloading the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility, removing the Office
2003. Then my new disk started right up and I had a successful installation.
