I am trying to move an upgrade version of Office XP Professional to a new
computer that doesn't have a previous version of Office on it. How can I do
this?

Re: move office to a new computer

Hi Mike,

You will need the CD of a product that the upgrade package recognizes as the basis for qualifying to use the upgrade. For Office XP
those are listed here.

Re: move office to a new computer

Hi Mike,

Unfortunately, the requirements for installing an upgrade version are as listed in that MS Knowledge base article.

You may be able to find old disks or CDs for one of those products on an auction site, garage sale or thrift shop.
