Hi,
This is not a very major problem, but is still driving me nuts.

I use a Dell Inspiron 640m and I recently upgraded to IE7 which bought
a host of problems. One of which was that the Synaptics driver got
corrupted & I had to re-install the driver from teh Dell site.

And thereon I noticed that my text selection in Word & data range
selection in Excel had changed. Earler If i wanted to copy 1 sentence
out the 2 present, I would just select the necessary section and use
Ctrl+C- which would copy the highlighted text
Now, unless I click again the selection does not stop, and the copy
action doesnt work.
I cant understand what changes has affected it - is it the changed
settings in the touchpad driver or is it changes in settings in Word
etc?

I hope i have been clear - & I hope someone can help me figure out this
maddening issue.

Just so that it can help anyone else facing the problem
it was the touchpad driver...the ClickLock option is to be unchecked.
