The other option is to make sure you save Office 2007 files in the old
format, ie .doc instead of docx.

by now. You can get them from

I have downloaded the file converter and still cannot open the docs compiled
using 2007 Beta....Message reads....The converter failed to save the
file...Any helpful hints greatly appreciated...Best wishes Kevin...
