| Follow-up I am running Office 2000 Premium on XP Media Center Edition in a new notebook. In previous notebooks running XP Pro I have been able to access and use Microsoft Office Document Scanning. But with this notebook, I cannot download or setup this operation. How can I access this needed program? |

| Re: Follow-up Thanks for the response. Don't ask me to explain, but I still use this feature in my Toshiba running XP Pro and Premium 2000 connected to either the Canon N670U or the Epson 5400. Any additional thoughts or recommendations? | Re: Follow-up Hi Gyorgy. Thanks for the response and interest. The answer to your question is no. I have tried ALL PROGRAMS --> MICROSOFT OFFICE TOOLS --> MICROSOFT OFFICE DOCUMENT IMAGING or MICROSOFT OFFICE DOCUMENT SCANNING icons but they are not there. However, they are on my Toshiba. Any thoughts? I have even tried reloading the entire MS Office Permier 200 Suite without success. I've also tried the repair, refresh, etc. without success. Look forward to your wit, wisdom, and guidance. | Re: Follow-up My guess is that your Toshiba came with a trial version of Office 2003 preinstalled by the computer manufacturer, and you are using the document imaging feature from the Office 2003 trial version (the imaging feature will continue to work even if the trial period has expired). And my guess is that your new notebook didn't come with a trial version of Office 2003 preinstalled by the computer manufacturer. Erick wrote: > Thanks for the response. | Re: Follow-up Der Garfield: Thanks for the contribution. I don't remember if my Toshiba came with a preinstalled trial version. HOWEVER, my Compaq does and it hasn'y kicked in. It could be becuse I installed MS Office in a different directory than the trial version. Should I delete and reinstall Office into the default menu? I'm not worried if I lose Office 2003. What does anyone reading this think?
