| Re: If I buy a new computer may I switch the license to the machin I had a laptop where I intalled Office 2000. The laptop died on me, and I'm about to sell it to someone else who I presume will repair it. I did not uninstall Office 2000 from the laptop, and I'm not able to now since the laptop does not work. When I install the same Office 2000 on another machine, I assume I'll need to "call-in" to activate it. Will Microsoft activate it for me based on my claim that my previous installation died on me? What is the phone number to register the product? Is there someone at Microsoft I can call to "cancel" my previous installation? Thanks! | Re: If I buy a new computer may I switch the license to the machine? Or may be not if it is a retail version or Teachers and Students edition! Retail version allows two installation and S&T edition 3! OEM is dead - kaput!
