Why is Old English font not available in Office 2003?

I installed Office 2003 and the Old English font is not available in any of
the Office programs. I also looked for it in my Fonts folder on the hard
drive and it's not there either.

Do you really mean "Old English"? Strictly, that refers to fonts
for what used to be called "Anglo-Saxon". If you mean fonts like
those used for newspaper banners, the term is "Black Letter". I
was not supplied with either tho' the letters yodh, eth etc. are
available as symbols. A Google search will turn up a lot of
fonts but they are often not free.

Thanks for your response. I checked the Microsoft Office website and they
list Old English as one of the fonts included with Office 2003.

Kind of a puzzle! I must admit I am using Office XP (2002
probably) and, while the web page talks about an Old English
font what ever that may be, I certainly don't have it.

Can one import "missing" fonts into Office 2003 from an earlier version of
Office?
