If you do not have the correct permissions then what can happen is the
changes the Windows Installer makes can not be permanently saved. So
each time you start an Office application it continues to attempt to
make the necessary changes Office needs in order to run correctly.
Make sure you are logged on with Administrator privileges and allow
the Windows Installer to complete.

Re: OFF2000: Windows Installer Appears Every Time a Program Is Sta

I am logged on as an administrator. I have tried methods #1 and #2 as
described in the topic "Windows Installer runs every time program is
launched". I can't try method #3 because I don't have MS Access installed.

I recently uninstalled MS Publisher and ever since then, I have Windows
Installer two or three times every time I launch anything, be it a MS product
or not.

Any suggestions much appreciated - it is driving me nuts! Thanks, Rosie
