Microsoft Office 2003 freezing when attempting to open documents.

Hi All,

I just upgraded from Office 2000 to Office 2003 (OS Windows 2000
professional), I went to the updates site and I installed all the
updates available. However when I try to open any document that is
outside of the default folder (my documents) the application freezes. I
tried word, excel, outlook, they are all freezing the application
(status program not responding). Any suggestions on a fix for this
problem? Thanks

Re: Microsoft Office 2003 freezing when attempting to open documents.

Right-click on the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop,
left-click on Disconnect Network Drive, and disconnect any mapped
drives that are not currently available.

Re: Microsoft Office 2003 freezing when attempting to open documents.

This may work on 2K3 Office.

In 2K you can start > run apps in safe mode i.e. OUTLOOK.EXE /safe

Worth a try.

:)
