| Problems with Excel 2002 aand Word 2002 I cannot double-click on a Word file or an Excel file to open it. I did discover that if I "right-click", then select "Open with", Word. The file will open from there. But double-clicking still will not open one. |

| Re: Problems with Excel 2002 aand Word 2002 Have you set Word as the Always Use program? R-click, Open With, Choose, and tick the box for "always use" and then double click the program. | Re: Problems with Excel 2002 aand Word 2002 Yes! I checked that box just to be sure that it was set as the default. Funny thing though, and this is really frustrating, it won't even open that way anymore either. The next time I tried it, neither Excel nor Word files will open by either double-clicking or by R-click-open with! I guess i need to just upgrade to Office 2007!! | Re: Problems with Excel 2002 aand Word 2002 If you really want to, but it is suspicious that they don't open at all. HAve you tried waiting? What do you see in the file Types info about xls and doc files in Folder Options? Look in the Open listing. RAKPapabear wrote: > Yes!
