| MSOffice Enterprise 2007 changed my OExpress spell check to French I just uninstalled my complete MS Office 2003. Then instatlled my new MS Office Enterprise 2007. Now my Outlook Express spell checker only has and uses FRENCH to spell check all my messages. I have fully reinstalled the entire MS Office Enterprise 2007 and it still has the same problem. I am unsure how to get advice or assistance. Please help! Jim jdivey4******.com |

| Re: MSOffice Enterprise 2007 changed my OExpress spell check to French The spell checker is a component of Office, not of Outlook Express. In Office 2007, English, Spanish and German spell checkers are incompatible with Outlook Express. To fix this, install ONLY the English Language Proofing Tools from Office 2003. If you want to activate the product, probably a good idea, then install Word 2003, run it once, say "yes" to product activation, and then remove Word 2003 or from within custom Office Setup make it "not available". Word 2003 and Word 2007 do not play well together. This has been beat to death in microsoft.public.msn.discussion. It seems that the same problem affects MSN Explorer email client too. If you call Office Customer Support they will tell you to install a free (non-Microsoft) spell checker. Google "free spell checker" if you want to go this route. I prefer to use the Office 2003 English Language Proofing Tools, since I had already paid for them. | Re: MSOffice Enterprise 2007 changed my OExpress spell check to French You no longer have spell checking capabilities in some languages in Outlook Express 6.0 after you install the 2007 Microsoft Office system: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932974 If you have a previous version of Office, see this: http://www.outlook-tips.net/archives/2006/20061228.htm Outlook Express cannot use the MS Word spell check in Office 2007. Downloading a free spell check is the simplest way around this. Vampirefo Spell Check.
