| RE: Windows cannot print due to a problem with the current printer Dear Matt, I understand that the HP support has passed you to Microsoft. However, if the issue remains after performing all troubleshooting steps I provided, it is possible that the cause of our issue is still at the hardware device side. After searching in our internal database, I found the following articles and we may perform steps in them: How to troubleshoot problems that you may experience when you try to print to a local printer by using Office programs in Windows XP http://support.microsoft.com/kb/870622/ Advanced troubleshooting for when you cannot print in Windows XP http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314085/ You receive an error message if you try to print a document on Windows 2000-based and Windows XP-based computers http://support.microsoft.com/kb/873396/ Have a nice day.
