2003 Vista no longer free support

I had to buy a new computer. My old computer was crashing. I really liked XP.

However, I was forced to buy Vista on the new computer.

Office 2003 and Vista do not work well together.

However, Microsoft only allows a few instances of free support. If you have
been using 2003 for a number of years, you may have "used up" your free
support time.

If I am forced to use Vista, then why does MS not give more free support for
Office ??

Office 2003 does work on Vista. Specifically what issues are you having?

Re: 2003 Vista no longer free support

Office 2003 works well and is supported for Vista. If you have used up your free support fro Office then obviously you will need to pay for further support. What issue(s) are you encountering. If you can post the issue(s) then maybe someone can help.

Re: 2003 Vista no longer free support

Unfortunately, after I had asked the questions on free support, the issue was
not solved, and I was still not allowed to go back to the same case number.
I am not a guru and problems are not always solved at one support time.

The signatures used in XP if using Word as an editor, are somehow connected
to your email when writing a message.

However, under Vista, the signatures are in a different location and you
have to copy the signatures to the vista location which is in user name>app
date> roaming etc---- However, even though I paste the signatures to the
proper folder in Vista, they are not "seen" by Outlook. Even the signatures
I newly created under Vista using Outlook 2003 were not recognized by Outlook.

And, yes I did check the choose the signature in the options> mail format>
box.

Also, I cannot believe I am the only person having trouble with Vista and
not allowed to use free support. I find it very difficult when I am not a
guru and cannot figure all this out on my own.

And, just because MS is pushing everyone to buy Office 2007, that is not a
good reason to deny support.
