| Can a U.S. user purchase a Spanish version of Office? Is there any way for a user in the United States to purchase a Spanish version of Microsoft Office 2007 (any flavor)? I have a friend - a legal immigrant from South America - who needs to purchase a new laptop (her current unit is an ancient Dell that she brought with her) but is balking because she would prefer that most of what she uses to be in Spanish, despite the fact that her proficiency in English is excellent. I know that Vista Ultimate can be changed from English to Spanish, so that's one hurdle passed. The next is Office 2007. Short of having a South American relative purchase a copy to send to her (and I question the legality of that anyway), is there any way she can obtain a Spanish version Office 2007 in in the U.S.? Or is there a setting in Office 2007 - as there is in Vista Ultimate - that would enable her to change the default language to Spanish? Thanks in advance, Gretchen |

| Re: Can a U.S. user purchase a Spanish version of Office? Hi Gretchen, The proofing tools for Spanish are included in all of the U.S. versions. To add the Spanish language user interface you can add the Office 2007 Spanish, Single Language Pack. http://buy1.trymicrosoftoffice.com/b...&culture=en-US ============== <<"Gretchen" <Gretchen@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:3A33A058-E0F9-43B2-A6F6-C0AD12DDB7F6@microsoft.com... | Re: Can a U.S. user purchase a Spanish version of Office? Does this put the toolbars and pulldown menus in Spanish, too? I have Office 2007 myself but am afraid to try it since I'm not the one who speaks Spanish and won't know how to change it back! Hi Gretchen, The Spanish Single Language Pack gives you the option to have the display language for the ribbon, menus and help files switchable from English to Spanish. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/su...113681033.aspx ================ <<"Gretchen" <Gretchen@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:6F45C8F4-C6EF-4C42-9640-B7CD8A39201D@microsoft.com...
