Can I install Office 2007 Ultimate on my 3 home computers?

I just purchased another Sony VAIO computer. It has MSN Works; with -60 day
trial of Office suites.

If I purchase a retail Office Ultimate Suite, can I install this on 2 or 3
computers I already own?

One is my older Sony VAIO which has the Microsoft office professional
Edition 2003?
The other is a Dell 4550?
I am mainly a home office user so will it basically work if I installed it
on 3; or is there another licensed package to purchase that works better for
this situation?

You need to decide what applications you need. A retail version of Office
generally allows you to install it one system and one portable system on
which you are the sole user.

You can install Office 2007 Ultimate on one (1) desktop computer
and one (1) notebook computer only.

I just want to know if the disk will let me install it in the one notebook
and one desktop and then let me reinstall it in a 2nd notebook when stop
using the older notebook.

The installer doesn't check or keep track, it's the product activation afterwards that does :)

If it's a retail licensed copy you can activate on the desktop and a portable computer and you can move it to another computer and
activate there later. If you have problems activating online you can then use the telephone activation method to speak to an
activation tech.

If it's an OEM edition (generally one that came preinstalled on the computer) then it's not moveable to another machine.

Thanks That's what i wanted to know. I purchased a retail/upgrade edition
instead of planning to activating the preinstalled one, I want hard copy
discs!
