associate file type

the office file aren't identified as office files, they are just unknown file
until i open them with "open with"
why is that??
everytime i have to open a file i get "open with".. isn't there a way to fix
it
knowing that i have made the repair option but nothing have changed

If you're using Vista there's an articule on file associations here which may
help -http://articles.techrepublic.com.com/5100-10877_11-6172036.html

If not on Vista, you could do it manually - My Computer > Tools > Folder
Options > File Types.

I would guess that an uninstall/install of Office would also fix it up.
