Problem trying to install Office Pro 2003

I already have Office XP installed on my sysyem, but wanted to do a custom
install of MS Publisher from my MS Office Professional 2003 disk. Each time i
load the disk, however, the autorun activates, I see the initial Installation
Wizard box, then my computer crashes to a blue screen with things i don't
quite understand and something about a memory dump. I assume this is the blue
screen of death. I restart and the same thing happens.
Are the 2 versions conflicting with each other or is there something more
serious going on? I have installed other programs with no trouble. It is just
this MS Office CD. Please help! I need Publisher, but it wasn't inclued in my
MS Office XP cd.
