| lost outlook express inbox messages The messages in the inbox of outlook express 6.0 suddenly were lost. The inbox.dbx file, however, remains very large but will only reveal a very small fraction when trying to view email. This is the second time files were lost in the viewing of email. I understand the inbox was of large size as files were not deleted for some time. How do I regain the full content of the inbox? |

For help with your OE questions, try an OE newsgroup such as microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlooke xpress (for OE 6), or an OE help website such as http://insideOE.tomsterdam.com. If you're accessing the Microsoft newsgroups through the MS Product Support Services "Community Newsgroups" web interface, click http://www.microsoft.com/communities...xpress.general Good luck! |

Download and install Thunderbird and see if can import the messages for you and start using that instead of Outhouse Distress. www.mozilla.com/thunderbird Alias |

As soon as a .dbx file gets corrupted due to any hardware or software problem. There is no way to access emails from corrupted .dbx file. To recover your emails from corrupted .dbx files, there are many 'Outlook Express email recovery' (http://www.stellarinfo.com/mail-recovery.htm) softwares available. Outlook email recovery software scans extracts and saves email massages into a new folder on the local drive. -- camron ------------------------------------------------------------------------ camron's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/member.php?userid=40285 View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/showthread.php?t=902745 http://forums.techarena.in |
