| office 2007 deployment without space validation I tray install update from office 2003 to 2007. My MSOffice is instaled in c:\program files\usr and 'usr' directory it is dedicated logical volume (mounted in Program Files). On c: drive I've 800 MB free space, on 'usr' 3 GB. I can't install office 2007 because free space validator during instalation process calculate only space from c: disk not from 'usr' volume and requaied space it's 1.7 GB. Can I change instalation mode ex. no free space verification. |

| Re: office 2007 deployment without space validation The fact that the office program files are installed elsewhere is immaterial, you still need free space on C (assuming thats your sys drive) where other parts of office will be installed, including temp files during the process. 880mb of free space on C is whoefully inadequate even for efficient operation of win. <s.h@plusnet.pl> wrote in message news:d8b2d9f2-8bd4-4b2e-9aad-b6f0592e57a5@y5g2000hsf.googlegroups.com... >I tray install update from office 2003 to 2007. | Re: office 2007 deployment without space validation C it's sys drive. I agree with your opinion that setup process required space for temporary files, however my temp folders are located on other disk (not c) with adequate free space (3 GB). Any other idea ? |

| Re: office 2007 deployment without space validation As far as I'm aware the office installation process will check the 'system drive' and if there is insufficient space abort. I dont beleieve there is anyway round that. I do not know the actual size of the files that are installed to the sys drive, and I'm not meaning the temp installation files. Office2003 has some 400mb of files installed to the Program Files\Office folder the rest are installed on the system drive <s.h@plusnet.pl> wrote in message news:2c93fa13-0727-407e-a4dd-8aedce8f74c2@d21g2000prf.googlegroups.com... >C it's sys drive.
