Mixing Two Office Versions

I reformated my XP Pro installation and installed Office Professional 2003.
Afterwards, I noticed that Office Professional 2003 doesn't include Front
Page. I have a copy of Office Professional Premium 2000 that does includes
Front Page. Can I use the Office 2000 CD to install just Front Page and, if
I do, will it conflict with 2003 and will I have any problems with Office
Update?

Thanks,

Peter

Re: Mixing Two Office Versions

The MS advice is to install earlier version first, update before installing
later version.
In the case of O2k, or component, you should custom install to a version
specific folder, eg Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office2k (later versions,
by default install to a version specific folder).

Re: Mixing Two Office Versions

Are you saying I should create this folder before installing the Front Page
component of Office 2000? Or are you saying I should uninstall 03 before
installing Front Page?

Thanks again,

Peter

Re: Mixing Two Office Versions

I'm saying the MS reccomendation is to install earliest version first.

If you wish to install only Front Page from the Office 2k cd, you would in
any case have to select Custom Install in order to select only 'that'
component to run from computer, and during the process you select / create
the folder you are installing to
