free trial

I have just downloaded an office free trial and the email says to open up the
product trial, but I cannot find it anywhere that I have looked. Where is it
supposed to be?

Did you install it after downloading it?

Re: free trial

I did install it, but even though I was seriously considering buying it after
the trial, I decided to uninstall it after reading of problems with the
trials and the advantages of having the disk(s). I expected it to be on the
desktop, but I never found it anywhere. Thanks for your response.

Re: free trial

After installation the normal location for all program shortcuts is
Start, Programs, and then the Folder named for the application and it's
siblings. In this case "Microsoft Office". Any shortcuts on the desktop
are a "secondary" step, and many utility programs "ask" if you want one
there also. But Office doesn't plant a whole slew of shortcuts on the
Desktop, you will find them all in the "Programs" menu.
