Hi all,

I'm pulling out what little hair I have left, just about yesterday I tried
to open an Excel spreadsheet I had previously created and the Excel window
opened, but the data area stays grey with the hourglass, when I click to
close (red X) windows reports it has stopped responding.

Powerpoint and Word seem to be acting similarly.

I have inserted the Office CD and repaired the installation twice and then
in desparation, restored to an earlier date, which seems to have failed for
some reason.

I have up to date virus protection and have run both Windows Defender and
AdAware SE and both say I have no malware.

Following a crash, I can get Word and Powerpoint to start in safe mode, but
I don't know where to go from there to assess what the fault is.

Any help would be very greatly received.
