Re: Office 2007 Service Pack 1

We encountered a lot of little problems/issues and I'm hoping the service
pack will resolve most of them.

Unless you're very new to computers, you should know that service packs
don't normally fix anything.

A service pack usually combines previously released fixed and updates
into one convenient package so if you have problems make sure you have
all the lates patches and then, if problems persist, ask for help here.

A service pack almost certainly won't fix your problems.

Post your problems and issues here. There may be solutions available.

Re: Office 2007 Service Pack 1

Actually Service packs contain new versions of files. These new files may
contain Hotfixes that are typically only available if you call Microsoft with
an exact KB article or problem as well as updates.

Also when a service pack is released it will contain more than just
Rolled-up updates. They often come with new or "Enhanced" features. See
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/he...194211033.aspx for example of
when SP1 was released for Office 2003.

I am also anxiously awaiting the release of Office 2007 SP1. This will
hopefully clear up some of the small annoyances with this version of Office
that I am also experiencing.
