Trojan.KillAV Virus

I have Norton Internet Security 2007 and when I run the scan it finds and
"partially" removes the trojan.killav virus. When I went to the Symantec
site and printed the instructions one step is to open Control Panel. But my
Control Panel is no longer showing under start. Any suggestions for what I
can do? The virus is keeping me from running Windows updates as well.
