| Problems with Powerpoint slideshow view I posted this to the Powerpoint group but it appears that there is very little activity over there. Hopefully someone in this group may have seen this before. I'm using Powerpoint 2003 SP3. When I try to view a slideshow it appears as if nothing happens. The actual slide show opens a window because I can see the process in task manager. And I can also see the slide show item on the taskbar. But it will not let me actually view it. I tried saving the file as a Powerpoint show, then creating a shortcut to it. I modified the shortcut to open maximized and that was not the problem. I completely uninstalled Office and ran the Installer Cleanup Utility. Then installed a clean copy of office and the problem persists. Thanks in advance!!! |

| Re: Problems with Powerpoint slideshow view Try, r-click the taskbar and select Cascade windows, to move your slideshow window back on the viewable desktop area. | Re: Problems with Powerpoint slideshow view I was going to suggest checking that you're set on "primary monitor," but I see you've already received that suggestion in the PowerPoint group. (I suspect there's more activity in that group than you realize.) -- Echo [MS PPT MVP] http://www.echosvoice.com What's new in PowerPoint 2007? http://www.echosvoice.com/2007.htm (New!) | Re: Problems with Powerpoint slideshow view What are your options on the Taskbar button? Is this a laptop and you set it to the external? What happens when you open the file itself and hit F5? | Re: Problems with Powerpoint slideshow view Sometimes the Cascade/Tile trick doesn't work so you might want to try this too: - Right-click the task on the taskbar and then click Move (click Restore and then right-click again and click Move if the Move command isn't available) - Press an arrow key on your keyboard to lock in the Move command - Then use your mouse and try to drag the window back onto the Desktop.
