You could archive them if you want. See Help, Archive.

Bob, thanks for your suggestion. I am not particularly computer literate, so
perhaps you wouldn't mind helping further? I did what you said and went to
"Help" then to "Microsoft Office Help" then typed in "archive" The items that
listed were all about emails and files. It may be that I just don't know what
I am looking for or perhaps the instructions for emails and files is the same
as for calendars? Thanks again Bob!

Archive a folder manually:
