Can I move Office 2000 Premium to Vista and upgrade to Office 2007

Help needed!!! I've purchased a new computer with Vista Home Premium that has
Mirosoft Works 8 already loaded. I have a legal version of Microsoft Office
2000 Premuim (not OEM) on my old computer which is about to die. I want to
purchase the Microsoft Office 2007 Professional Upgrade package for the new
computer. Can I do this? If so, do I need to load my Microsoft Office 2000
Premium on the Vista machine before installing the Microsoft Office 2007
Professional Upgrade?

Yes you may transfer Office 2000. The usual procedure is to
supply/insert the CD of the qualifying software when requested during
the install of the Upgrade version.

No need to install early edition you just need the cd available to point to
when the upgrade complains it cannot find a qualifying application.
Note:- I did'nt check to see as to whether Works is also a qualifying
application

Re: Can I move Office 2000 Premium to Vista and upgrade to Office

As a follow-up question to this. I have an original full version of Office
97 - a UPGRADE to Office 2000 Professional. Will I be able to install
another Office (or single application) Upgrade on a new system?

Thanks

You will need the 97 and 2000 version disks handy to upgrade to 2007.
