My question was do I need to uninstall office/outlook 2000 before I install
2007?
I got lost getting back to where I would view this question. Sorry, I

Usually you dont have to, but I'm not sure how well Office2007 deals with
O2k.
It would do no harm to uninstal, though data backups are allways wise

Outlook 2002-2007 will have issues with the LDAP directory being installed as the default address book if upgrading directly from Outlook 2000 IMO. The usual fix for this is to remove the LDAP directory after the upgrade and install the Outlook Address Book service.
