Fonts from Publisher 2003 to Word 2002

We are on a large network using Windows XP. We use Word 2002 and our unit
has independently purchased separate Publishers 2003 licenses for only a few
computers.

One computer that has the separately purchased license for Publisher 2003
(for their computer only) is complaining that when she creates documents and
sends those documents to other computers (that do not have Publisher
software), the result is the formatting is messed up & fonts have changed.

Can we download or copy fonts from Publisher 2003 to computers that do not
have a Publisher license? Any suggestions?

Thank you!

You can embedded True Type fonts where the license permits. The following
is from Publisher 2007 Help:

"You can embed only TrueType fonts (TrueType font: A scaleable font that
displays and prints smoothly at any point size. TrueType fonts are directly
supported by the Windows operating system and can be embedded in
publications.), and then only if their licensing allows embedding. All of
the TrueType fonts that are included in Publisher allow embedding."

Suggest you check Help in Publisher 2003 for embedded fonts. I am not sure
about Publisher, but Word has allowed embedded fonts fro a number of
versions.

Since Microsoft does not provided a viewer for Publisher, I am puzzled on
how you are viewing the Publisher files on a computer that does not have
Publisher installed. I am easy to confuse.

Re: Fonts from Publisher 2003 to Word 2002

Most if not all the fonts that came with Publisher 2003 also was bundled with
Office XP. Not all the fonts are installed by default. Explore your XP disks for
other fonts.

I can't quite figure out what you are trying to do.

Publisher documents can only be viewed by those computers that have Publisher
installed.
