The digital signature is greyed out.
1. I have office 2007 outlook client
2. I have a 2000 DC, I requested a cert from.
3. exported from an MMC cert addin, imported in the cert via tools -- Trust
center
4. added the shortcut to the ribbon bar.

Yet it remains grayed out and non-functional?
Any tips?

Check for the presence of

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\O utlook\Security\AlwaysSign

Value of 0 causes my system to grey out signing option.
