Include fields to enter late charges that WILL be applied IF late

My company's contracts state that if a customer is "x" amount of days late on
payment there is an "a" charge and if they are late past "y" amount of days
for payment there is a "b" charge. As a courtesy to them, we always included
that on the invoice. (Think of a utility bill that lets you know what your
late charges added to the regular charges will be if you pay late) Currently
the accounting system does not allow you to let a client know what the late
fees are before hand unless you edit the word template and add those fields
in and then manually enter them every time OR I have to just go ahead and
apply the charge. Many companies charge late fees to discourage tardy
payments... I just think it would be useful

What accounting system? MS Office suites don't have "an accounting
system", only applications.
