do i need to puchase adobe acrobat or can i somehow convert a pdf file to be
modified in Word?? I can read the file with a free adobe reader 7.0 download,
but can i convert it to a word doc ??

Search Google for "convert pdf to word" and you'll get lots of ways to
do this. Personally I use the OCR application Omnipage.

With third party software - and I've never seen any that's free...or
completely worth the cost.
