Show Classic Menus and Toolbars in Microsoft Office 2007

Is there anyway to Show Classic (2003) Menus and Toolbars in Microsoft Office
2007?

Is the only way an ad-in that you will have to pay for?

Any help would be GREAT!!!

Thank you,
Frank

No, you can't switch to classic mode. If you could, why would people bother
creating an add-in to do just that?

There is at least one free add-ins that do this. See:

http://pschmid.net/blog/2007/04/20/111

There is also a shareware add-in:

Patrick's add-in is not the free one, however.

The title when you click the link is:

Classic UI for Word 2007 with RibbonCustomizer - for free

http://pschmid.net/blog/2007/04/20/111

So... while I haven't used it, I'm assuming that it must be free, based on
that.

Ah, I thought you were talking about the full Ribbon Customizer add-in, not the free Word viewer.

Re: Show Classic Menus and Toolbars in Microsoft Office 2007

Hi Frank,

For Excel 2007, you may download one free addin from Addins
page of below site

http://in.geocities.com/shahshaileshs/

choose Excel Menu 2003.

1. This Addin need to load only for the first time.
2. It installed Worksheet Menubar, Standard Toolbar and Formatting Toolbar
in the Addins Tab inside the Ribbon.
3. The File Size is only about 20 kb.

BTW when you use more of 2007, you should be familiar with the 2007
Ribbon UI.

Regards,
Shailesh Shah

Re: Show Classic Menus and Toolbars in Microsoft Office 2007

Microsoft has to be joking....how about the Ctrl-E command!!! So dang simple
and YEARS and YEARS of use, since the beginning practically....now it's GONE.
A basic command like UNDO when editing extremely fast (those of us who know
the key commands by heart and actually make our living using these products
don't need a slow mouse)....what a joke. Then, the worst sin of all is to not
offer the menu bar for those who need it.

How about Edit UNDO in Access Reports? GONE...spent 20 minutes trying to
find it then, gave up!! A simple command. I can't believe more people are
coming unglued.
