| Microsoft (app. name) has not been installed for the current user I am running XP Pro with Office 2003 Pro. All has been working well for years. I downloaded and installed SQL Server 2005 Express and VB 2005 Express. SQL Server was not working properly and started causing other problems on my system. I went through control panel add/remove programs and uninstalled SQL Server. Since then, I can not run any of my Office 2003 applications. I receive the same error message for each (See subject). I tried to do a repair and that did not work. I next tried a reinstall which did not work either. I do not want to lose all my e-mail from outlook nor my working files from the other applications. What can I do? I have read the various posts about the problem but have not found anything that works. I located the Data.dat file and did a properties to check the security tab but there is no security tab on it. I am at my wits end..... Thanks, -- Greg |
