| Problem with Editor Equation 3.0 in MS Word I would appreciate if someone can help me to solve my Editor Equation 3.0 problem as described below: Currently when trying to evoke Editor Equation 3.0 in MS Word 2000, an error message appears asking whether or not to send to MS a report. Upon selecting "Don't send", another message then appears: "Microsoft Office Word can't start the application required to open this object. An error occurred and this feature is no longer functioning properly. Would you like to repair this feature now?" Upon selecting 'yes", and follow the steps to insert MS Office2000 (Professional) CD ROM into the computer....... the same error messages again appear. I tried uninstalling and re-installing MS Office2000 several times, following the basic steps: In the Control Panel, start Add/Remove Programs, select Office, and click the Change button; expand the Office Tools item, click the Equation Editor item, click "Run from my computer" and Click the Update button. Unfortunately, the problem still persists. FYI, my Dell computer which has Home Edition XP Window comes with Word Perfect and includes CorelEquation 12 (similar to Editor Equation 3.0). Even when I uninstalled Word Perfect from my computer, again the above problem persisted. The last time I needed to use (was running OK) Editor Equation 3.0 was around April 2006. |

| RE: Problem with Editor Equation 3.0 in MS Word I finally got help from a friend to solve my problem which turned out to be caused by the need of use of another language in one of my applications. The problem was fixed by opening the "Regional and Language Options" at the Control Panel and resetting to English at the "Reqional Option" tab and the "Advanced" tab. Apparently, there was conflict in simultaneous use of Editor Equation 3.0 and my other application. To use my other application, I have to use a different setting at the "Regional and Language Options" tabs.
