how do i restore a saved compressed photo its original size?

I have a couple of photo's I have resized/compressed to send via email. I
presumed you could restore these afterwards. They had been saved and sent and
now I can't find how to restore them. Its Microsoft Office Pictures.

You presumed incorrectly. The "compress" feature only works one way in
Office Picture Manager. Hopefully you did not overwrite the original
photo files with the compressed versions, or maybe you still have the
original photo files on your camera or on a backup.

Once it's compressed, it's a done deal. Hopefully you still have the
originals.
