| I don't want to receiving zipped files in Outlook When receiving attached files in email, I continue to receive small Word files as zipped documents. The sender has not zipped them. How do I stop my Outlook from zipping the files? |

| Re: I don't want to receiving zipped files in Outlook Does this happen only from that one person or do you get zipped documents from all senders? If from only that one person, what e-mail client is he/she using? What ISP does he/she use? It may be that your Outlook is not zipping them (I am not aware of Outlook's ability to do that) but rather they are arriving already zipped. | Re: I don't want to receiving zipped files in Outlook They are being zipped prior to you receiving them, either by the sender or something they have running on their end. Outlook will not (and cannot that I'm aware of) perform this action on arrival. | Re: I don't want to receiving zipped files in Outlook Some ISPs do that automatically. (AOL is notorious for doing it.) | Re: I don't want to receiving zipped files in Outlook Hi, Tact, As the other resopnders mentioned, it's not likely that Outlook is doing this. I'm wondering a couple of things: Do the files have the .zip extension, or are they just displayed as the zipped icon? Do you have a virus checker, and is it up to date? -- -- Susan Ramlet MVP - Office Please reply to the newsgroup. I cannot respond to private requests for help.
