Font availability

There are far more fonts in the Fonts file in Control Panel than are
available in the dropdown menu in the toolbars of Word, Publisher, etc. How
do I get access to those fonts? Or load them into the menu?

Re: Font availability

Do you have a printer selected as your default? You have to, even if you
aren't printing.

Re: Font availability

Also keep in mind that some of the font files are the variations on a
typeface, that is, there may be separate files for the bold, italic, and
bold italic versions of a face.

Re: Font availability

Can you give some examples? Word, and probably the other Office products
as well, refuses to use or even acknowledge the presence of certain types
of fonts. MS Linedraw is one example. There are probablt many others.
