I just purchased Office 2003 Professional and validation test says my
software failed. Please advise.

Where did you buy it? If the software isn't legal, the seller should
refund your money.

RE: Failed validation on newly purchased software

Same here. I am still waiting for an answer, but you can follow what it says
to do on the screen and it will assign you new product key. You may need to
call microsoft. Are you sure it is 2003 or your operating system, mine is
XP. I have XP Operating system and tried to install 2003. I am still able
to run it but I keep getting error message: compile in hidden module: auto
exec whenever I enter or exit a document?? If you hear something let me
know. jlesler@bdi-usa.com

Re: Failed validation on newly purchased software

Thank you for your suggestion, but the problem was because of dual
installations where one of the installations was an invalid version of the
software. After uninstalling both versions and reinstalling the recently
purchased (authorized) version the problem was resolved.

RE: Failed validation on newly purchased software

I'm really grateful for these discussion groups. Especially in view of the
fact that Microsoft is not making it easy to secure support for applications
which continue to require more and more updates and the updates seem to
require more and more work-arounds. I really appreciate the professionals
who respond to these blogs/workgroups that have been compelled to provide
their own support to take up the slack for the hardware and/or software
manufacturers!
