| Help neede with squashfs image I have downloaded an iso from here http://updates.xepc.org EeePC_1.7-2008-12-19_20-16.iso. The distro (asus Xandros) is in the form of a squashfs image that loads system files as read only. I would like to extract the files & install them on my pc as a normal file system. Thus enableing me to remove & add software as in a normal distro. I have extracted the .sfs My question is how do I set about copying the file system to my pc & getting it to boot ?? Is it as simple as burning to dvd/USB, booting the pc, partitioning, formatting, copying file system & booting ?? Or as I suspect am I missing something here ?? Any comments welcome. Cheers Icarus |
