Modern Warfare 2 is to be released in a month, the prestige edition
($150) comes with fully functional night vision goggles.

Just last week all versions of the prestige edition were canceled but
the Xbox version. MICROS~1 apparently made a deal $$$ with Infinity
Ward (creators of MW2).
http://pc.gamespy.com/pc/modern-warf...stige-edition/
Others in the UK have reported the same thing (this for the PC
version) while the link still claims only the U.S. prestige edition
has been canceled.

MW2 is suppose to be on the same level, if not better than Halo, and
I'm sure your aware of what Halo 1 did for the Xbox. This isn't about
hardware per se, it's about saleing more Xbox's.

Two days later the PS3 was offering the MW2 prestige edition, I don't
know the background of what happened, but I figure MICROS~1 had to
relent at least to the PS3, or face antitrust charges they couldn't
defend.

Had to interject, this tactic ticks me off, I wanted to start
practicing driving without lights. :)

Section "Device"
Identifier "Card0"
Driver "radeon"
BoardName "unknown"

It's using the Radeon driver so it's not using a "generic vesa thingy"
Maybe the Radeon drive has to be more specific as in Radeon Mobility
as xorg doesn't know the specific "board" so as far as it is concerned
it could be any Radeon board which isn't correct and will affect
graphics and display acceleration.

If it's slow you have no GL or GLX. Look here for clues, Noob.

http://wiki.x.org/wiki/RadeonFeature

And go to xorg's website and snoop around for the Mobility specific
driver. Load up Belarc and figure out which exact chipset it is and
the PCI bus location.

I don't really like to suck nuts, seems a waste of time. I prefer mine
