Not supported really in Mepis. Even version 8 is not going to give us ATI
peeps a break.

Installing graphics accelerators were always my least

Which is ****ing hilarious considering the number of laptops using this
AGP.

ATI has been traditionally unwilling to work with lunix coders, don't
know if that's still the case. NVidia OTOH has been very willing to
support lunix.

They have an official ATI-linux website. Unfortunately the RPM you can
download wont work with xorg AFAIK.
Its running the vesa like generic "ati" module now and thats where its gonna
stay.
Too much hassle.
