I have Slackware 12 (Xorg 7.2), and this graphics card (X800XL AIW PCI-
X). I'm using xorg driver "ati".
Problem is that video input capabilities are not detected.
Here is log:

It's not that strange, the ati driver supports mainly graphics card pre-radeon.

The radeon driver don't support all graphics cards, could be that the X800
series is supported (check at x.org).

The vesa driver will work, but you will have some limitations.

Then you have the closed source driver from AMD/ATi, that you can download
from their homepage, the latest version at least supports X800XL.

You don't understand 3D acceleration working, and I have picture on
monitor, but tv-in is not recognized...

TV-in you need gatos, and the support is poor for new cards

Thanks on help, GATOS is integrated in Xorg >= 7.0. It coud be that
AIW on X800 don't working by this driver right now, but I have sean it
working on 9600 (same generation).
