| Sanity check for GNOME? Mandriva defaults to KDE so I want to set up a profile with a GNOME desktop. I may be missing something when I selected packages to install to make this possible. Is there a script or diagnostic that will tell me that all the necessary components are installed, one that can inform me what pieces are missing? I get the built in Mandriva splash screen but nothing beyond that. In fact when I click on a link in that splash screen I wind up with a borderless browser with no chance of resizing. I would like to get a vanilla install of GNOME up and running. |

No need to have multiple users for different users, the desktop environments don't use the same settings files anyway, so they won't mess with each other.
